MEANING BEHIND THE GARMET
  • The piece is inspired by the FREEDOM ARTWORK, designed by Benjamin Smith. See below the artist’s interpretation:
  • "This piece is centred on time; the thought of time passing, using time wisely, spending time with who we love and doing what we love, and sacrificing time for working hard now to bring freedom in the future. The symbols representing “the clock” have different colours and shapes; everyone values and prioritizes time differently. The point is that we ONLY live once…time is the most precious currency in this world and how we spend it, will determine the difference between happiness and regret."

  • Luhniio Choi, DE MARF's creative director, has worked for some of the major fashion houses worldwide, with his creations being featured in VOGUE, WELLA Collection Show, GRAZIA, ELLE, THE US PARIS, FORBES, and more.
  • Previously designed garments for celebrities such as BEYONCE, RITA ORA, BELLA HADID, and more.
FABRICS, COLOUR, FEEL & CARE
  • Fabrics Composition: 100% GOTS-certified cotton and denim. Inner De Marf Monogram is lining 55% silk and 45% viscose.
  • Fabrics Weight: Denim is 13oz. Cotton sleeves and hood are 540 gr.
  • Texture and Feel: Silky feel on the inside and smooth denim feel on the outside. Soft feel for sleeves and hood.
  • Colour and Pattern: Blue denim with multi-colour laser prints. Rear-engineered artwork, with red prevalent colour. Inner white/light purple/black monogram lining.
  • Stretchability: No stretch on the denim and four-way stretch on the hood and sleeves.
  • Breathability: Normal.
  • Manufacturing: DE MARF is both designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, reflecting the country's renowned craftsmanship and design excellence.
  • Care Instructions: At 30’ and below. Do not bleach and do not put in the dryer.  
  • Suggestion: Due to the prestige of the item, handle with care. The item is durable if care instructions are followed.

Why is the price premium?
  • First, there is the collaboration with artists to create the required artworks and specific stories behind them.
  • Second, the design process and hand-fitting of each individual garment, conducted in Milan. Each garment is created from scratch.
  • Third, the premium fabrics used, which are all made in Italy and GOTS certified (ecologically and ethically sourced).

Is DE MARF sustainable?

All the cotton-based fabrics used by De Marf are GOTS certified, meaning that we maintain high ecological standards (organic) and also ethical standards (for more information about GOTS, see the section "what does GOTS stand for?"). Other fabrics that don’t fall under the GOTS certification, are all recycled. 
  • Packaging, bags, and collateral are all made with sustainable sources. The manufacturing process is conducted in Italy, ensuring high ethical standards.
Is DE MARF a designer brand?
  • Yes. Luhniio Choi is the designer behind DE MARF. Luhniio previously worked for high-end fashion houses such as Pucci and Pronovias Group. He personally designed garments for celebrities like Beyonce, Bella Hadid, Rita Ora, and more. He also created custom-couture pieces under his personal brand. His creations have been featured in Vogue Italia, Grazia, Elle, and more.
